This is another very special accommodation option in Colombia. Owned by the great,
great grandson of a former president of Panama this is a spectacular hideaway in the
hills outside Medellin. Previously the house was the property of a famous Colombian
sculptor. Since his death his family have decided to turn the place into a type of hotel
and wedding reception option. Its a stunning location with views over the town of La
Ceja and surrounding area. The area is also of historical significance as the route the
Spanish took down from the coast hundreds of years ago.
There is not an awful lot to do at the property but take in the serene surroundings, drink a bottle of
wine and relax to the max. I've been twice already and it won't be long before I'm back.
Below is a view of the town of La Ceja taken from the finca and below right some of the countryside
on the road up leading to the finca. You can walk back from the finca to the town if you want in
about fifty minutes.
