Only an hour from Medellin, through the five kilometer tunnel and several hundred
metres lower in altitude than Medellin is the small town of San Jeronimo. Known as
a weekend getaway for paisas its a beautiful relaxing place to get some sun and
not do much at all.

the best option in San Jeronimo is the Hotel Quimbaya, ten minutes walk from the town center. Its a great hotel with a lot of history and seven
beautiful swimming pools. There are also a few jacuzzis where you can pass the hours sipping on a nice rum. If you don't want to stay the night
you can just stay the day and use the pools for a small fee.

pretty easy to get here. Just make your way to the northern bus terminal in Medellin and from there you can take a collectivo taxi or for a
cheaper option on of the very regular buses. The journey should be between an hour and 75 minutes.
